What the Log is
A searchable archive of the parkrun Adventurers podcast. Every released episode has a transcript with the speakers named and the segments marked, and everything in it — every person, every parkrun, every segment — has a page of its own.
This resource exists because there was a need to make the podcast's content accessible to our deaf and hard of hearing supporters. A lot of the work needed to make that happen unlocked a lot of interesting information for fans of the pod:
- Who reported from where. Every roving reporter has a page listing everywhere they have filed from, and every parkrun has a page listing every report ever filed from it.
- When a segment started, and every time it has run since — including the ones that appeared twice and were never heard of again.
- Everyone who has been on the show. The event director interviewed on the other side of the world, named and findable.
None of it could be looked up before. It was all inside the audio.
The Log is made by a listener. It is not made by the show.
The podcast
parkrun Adventurers has been going since January 2016 and puts out an episode a fortnight. If you have found your way here without hearing it, start with the show itself — the Log is a better index than it is an introduction.

That last address is the one to use for anything meant for the show itself — a roving report, a question for the hosts, a photograph, an entry for one of the segments. It reaches the team who make the podcast. It does not reach the Log.
This archive
Anything about these pages — a name spelled wrong, a report filed under the wrong parkrun, a transcript that reads as nonsense, a link that goes nowhere, a page your screen reader cannot get through — comes here instead.

Corrections are applied at the source, so a name fixed once stops being wrong everywhere, including in episodes that have not been through the editing pass yet. It is the single most useful thing anyone sends.
How the transcripts are made
Each episode is transcribed from its audio automatically, then put through an editing pass that names the speakers, marks the segments, describes laughter, music and crosstalk, and corrects misheard names against the roster and the parkrun event list.
Every episode page says how far its transcript has been taken, and the labels mean different things — the News page has the full explanation. The short version: Enhanced means software has been over it, Verified means a person has. Expect errors, and please report the ones you find.
Independence
The Adventurers Log is an independent project by a listener. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to parkrun, and it is not an official publication of the podcast.
Episode audio, artwork and show notes remain the property of the podcast and its creators, and are reproduced here to make the show findable. If anything on these pages should not be here, say so and it will come down.
