Interviewed as a guest
Episode 162
A long phone interview covering Gabe Grunewald's legacy and the memorial run Troop did with his daughter; his transition from elite athlete to coach and the Boulder Track Club; the death by suicide of one of his athletes and the burnout that followed; his early career in Geelong, the junior-college move to the Texas panhandle, training with Steve Moneghetti in Ballarat, breaking Ron Clarke's 5k record and his 2:11 London Marathon debut; and his thoughts on why parkrun has been slow to take hold in the US, including a warning that talk of "parkrun world records" strays from what parkrun is for.
