Episode 326
His 500th parkrun in a blue shirt at Kedron: 200 different locations, p-index 11, Alphabeteer, pirate, Queensland statesman, Groundhog Day and Stopwatch Bingo (three times), 353 of 366 dates, an 11% volunteer ratio with 16 stints at Des Connor junior parkrun. He recalls skipping the very first Australian parkrun at Main Beach because he would not drive 70km for a 5k, starting instead at New Farm (~42 runners, Tim Oberg among them), driving 2,500km to Doomadgee for a cancelled run, slowing down and expecting to become a permanent tail walker, the leaky heart valve awaiting surgery, and his love of flat beach courses, Airlie Beach and Cardwell.
