How Ridley Place Foreshore parkrun was set up in about six months - building a core volunteer group first via an "Australind Runners" Facebook page and Monday/Wednesday night runs, learning the ropes at Bunbury, reworking the course after the event ambassador ruled out paths beside roads and boat ramps, winning council support and a $7,500 local sponsor, and averaging 120-130 finishers in its first six events.
