Episode 141 - Facts in a Haystack
End-of-year segment in which Scott holds Mel to three stated goals for 2019: 17 new events (talked down live from 22, to reach 85 different events); run directing 14 more times to reach 100 as RD; and a "perfect month" - a different, never-before-done event every week for one whole calendar month, her parkrun spin on the Barney Stinson idea from How I Met Your Mother. Scott names it a segment "That's your top three goals for the year, which ticks off that segment".
Episode 139 - Running Challenges
Hosts each nominate their top three favourite Running Challenges extension stats. Scott: stopwatch bingo (needs 30 and 48), longest tourism streak (12), and his NENDY (Wilson Botanic, 36km away). Mel: tourist quotient, total distance travelled (short of 100,000km because of her cancelled Tasmanian event), and the newly added furthest travelled. Listeners invited to send in their own top three; a to-do list sent in by Bruce Purdy is held over to next week.
Episode 138 - Tony Park
New recurring bit: each week a special guest names their top three parkruns on a theme. Inspired by the Tony Park interview, Scott hands over to Tim Oberg for the top three parkruns you can pair with a safari in South Africa, 1. Nkomazi parkrun (where Tim ran with Paul Sinton-Hewitt and Bruce Fordyce, near Kruger's Crocodile Gate), 2. Hazyview parkrun (closest to safari country), 3. Hermanus parkrun on the Western Cape, for whale watching rather than the Big Five.
