Roving Adventurers (roving reporter crossovers)
The bulk of the episode is roving reports back to back with no studio segments between them — Lyndell Murray from the Kelvin Grove parkrun launch in inner Brisbane, Melissa Ellis from an Easter-themed Pakenham parkrun in Victoria, and Dave Moss from St George in south-western Queensland. Scott sums it up afterwards at [00:36:57]: "A veritable treasure trove of roving reports this week, Mel. So much so that it's taken up the entire podcast. Episode 106 is all about roving reports."
Channel 5 News Crew
Lyndell signs off her Kelvin Grove report at [00:29:02] "This is Lyndell signing off for the Channel 5 news crew on the parkrun adventurers". Scott then frames Melissa Ellis's Pakenham report at [00:37:13] as "another solid... application for entry into the Channel 5 News crew. Not there yet", with Mel adding "We make them work hard for it these days, don't we?" — Dave Moss is described as having had the honour "bestowed on him many months ago".
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
Scott asks "what's happening in parkrun World this weekend?" One launch: South Toowoomba, Queensland. Anniversaries at Kedron and Main Beach — the latter is the seventh anniversary of Main Beach and therefore of parkrun in Australia, with a big party, junior parkrun announcements and "something else that's a bit exciting" promised by "the boss". Also anniversaries at Lismore (NSW) and Traralgon (Victoria).
