We chat to two-time Event Director and parkrun Australia Board member Matt Fullerton, and Lyndell Murray and Melissa Ellis are back with roving reports from St Lucia and Inverloch parkruns. Plus we throw out an exciting new challenge to all adventurers.

Melissa Ellis is formally inducted into the Channel 5 News Crew. The hosts recap the "level-up challenge" they set her in episode 107 — file a report in which she finds a Scott and a Mel to interview — and play her successful Inverloch report, complete with cinnamon donuts for Scott and pineapple chocolate for Melissa. Mel: "From number one fan to Channel 5 News crew, you're in, honey ... we'll add you to the secret Facebook group later." Later in the outro Lyndell also signs off "for the Channel 5 News crew", and PK is congratulated as a crew member on reaching his 100 Club milestone.
Meet the ED
Explicitly revived after a long absence — Scott at [00:11:43]: "It's the return of the event director interview. It's been missing, it's been in hibernation." Matt Fullerton, current ED of Bright parkrun (Victorian high country), establishing ED of Lilydale Lake and a parkrun Australia board member, on launching Bright after relocating from Melbourne, minus-two-degree winter mornings, his three kids, junior parkrun, and board strategy. In the outro the hosts ask listeners whether the ED interview should return more regularly.
Roving Adventurers (roving reporter crossovers)
The main roving block: Melissa Ellis continues from Inverloch with new Victorian Statesperson Rhianna (Bendigo) and 16-year-old Run Director Addie, then Lyndell Murray reports from St Lucia parkrun in Brisbane — the Brisbane 5K Koalas running club, ED Paul, and a course description. Hosts wrap at [00:46:22] "Great work, ladies ... both official members of the Channel 5 News crew" and put out a call for more reports and iTunes reviews.
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
One 5K launch — Jindabyne, NSW — plus the third Australian junior parkrun, Cannonvale Junior parkrun in the Whitsundays. Anniversaries at Coffs Harbour (NSW), Frog Hollow, Goondiwindi (Qld), Mitchelton (Qld), Newy (NSW) and Redland Bay (Qld). Leads into the hosts' own weekend plans and shout-outs to "Em" on her 18th birthday and to PK on joining the 100 Club.
Poem Zone
Coined live in the outro: after asking for feedback "iTunes reviews or poems", Mel proposes a parkrun haiku competition with a prize, and Scott names it after a song lyric — "last night I wrote a poem, I guess I was in the poem zone. So can we call the new segment The Poem Zone?" Mel commits to reading out roughly one poem a week in the outro. Almost certainly the "exciting new challenge to all adventurers" promised in the show notes.
