Highlight reel (episode 119 retrospective)
The whole episode is a clip show. Scott frames it at [00:00:41] "episode 119 is the traditional episode where we have a highlights package... we reminisce about all the episodes that came before it." The hosts talk over and between replayed archive extracts, adding new commentary. Clips replayed, in order: episode 1 (their own first self-introductions), episode 29 (Jess Trengove interview, plus Ross Pentland's reverse freedom run), episode 50 (Tim Oberg and Renee Gimbert's Christmas wishes; PSH interview), an earlier PK roving report from Bushy Park including PSH, episode 37 (Danny Norman), episode 59 (Nicola Forwood), episode 75 (Sean Sutherland Kirby), episode 78 (August Madness), episode 105 (Shellharbour listener meetup), episode 44 (Bruce Fordyce) and episode 68 (Martin and Svenja Beck).
August Madness
Archive replay of the first edition of the hosts' parkrun quiz, originally episode 78: Melissa Ellis (Victoria, Berwick Springs) versus Steve (Queensland, Cairns), four parkrun questions, buzzers being each contestant's home parkrun, recorded in front of a live studio audience. The hosts agree in the surrounding discussion to bring it back next month.
Channel 5 News Crew
Melissa Ellis files a fresh roving report from Warragul parkrun (Victoria) — no launch, no anniversary, just a regular Saturday. She walks the course with tail walker David, who talks about being pestered into his first parkrun in 2015, reaching 100 parkruns, 15-16 volunteer stints, losing over 20kg and his gout improving. The episode's show notes call her a "Channel 5 News Crew member".
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
This week's launch is Woy Woy in New South Wales ("so nice they named it twice"). Anniversaries: Atherton in Queensland, Aveley in WA, Cobram in Victoria, and Strathalbyn in South Australia.
Poem Zone
Listener-submitted poem segment. Mel reads a limerick about Scotty written by Simon Mackley of New South Wales: "There once was a man from Westerfolds, a 21:05 PB he holds..." Scott objects that "the year and the year don't rhyme" and that the last line is factually incorrect, then declares it his favourite poem so far. He notes at [01:15:25] that the segment now has new theme music and is being cut back to one poem a week "because we don't want the segment to have a slow death".
