Chiaki Okada
The launch of parkrun Japan: translating the run briefing and the parkrun website into Japanese, how she got the job after her husband spotted the ad, being on the ground at the Futakotamagawa inaugural, the scouting trips for the next Japanese events, and a message to Japanese listeners delivered in Japanese.
Janet Finn
Being in Japan visiting her son Max (an interpreter for the city of Kobe) when parkrun Japan launched, running her 100th parkrun at Futakotamagawa among the cherry blossoms, being congratulated by Tim Oberg at the finish, and how parkrun led to the discovery of three heart blockages and changed her life.

Scott Trickett and Mel Erbacher. Scott ran a flat Parkville with 'the showman' from the Erbacher household, declared the sore hammy mended, then tested it again on a 15K trail run around Sugarloaf Reservoir with the Westerfoldians, paced by a youngster called Matty; Mel volunteered at Kawana, shadowing a new Run Director from the playground with Wes. Coming up: a Japan-heavy episode with parkrunners from the launch and a pile of roving reports, linked by Scott spotting Dalby Event Director Miff Winnie in an apricot top at Parkville the same morning Lyndell filed a report from Dalby.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 6:06
First of two roving blocks. Scott splits the week's reports in two and "leads with the ladies": Lyndell Murray from Dalby parkrun (Queensland), chasing the letter D for her alphabet challenge, followed by Melissa Ellis from event two of Lorne Beach parkrun on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria's 73rd event.

Second roving block, running straight on from the Japan interviews with no studio handover: TOC at Gungahlin parkrun (ACT) with a Zoolander running club takeover, interviewing co-EDs Russ and Andrew; then PK at Reynella East parkrun (South Australia) for its 70th event, interviewing Louise, Rick, RD Rachel Semler and Craig, interrupted by the comic "KP" character, who sings a Bonnie Tyler parody about Scott's hamstring. Scott recaps both.
Launches and anniversaries starts at 1:10:29"Where is the cake?"
Scott: "Let's get on to launches and anniversaries, Mel." One launch, Australia's first prison parkrun at Dhurringile (Victoria), which Scott is attending and Mel says she was "a tiny little cog in the wheel" behind. Anniversaries: Augustine Heights and Mackay (QLD), Cottesloe and Wanneroo (WA), plus one further Victorian event.
Sign-off starts at 1:13:49
Mel thanked Scott for joining her and he asked where she was off to that weekend: volunteering at home again, because she was heavily pregnant, finding movement over any distance uncomfortable, and thinking she might retire on The Beaches until after the baby arrived. Scott said he hoped she would join him next week for the chat with Glenn Turner, put Lyndell on standby in case, thanked Mel again and said he might speak to her next week; she replied that they would chat soon either way.
