Beau Miles
Return interview: how 'A Mile an Hour' went viral off the back of 'Run the Line' and the wave of people copying the challenge in lockdown; becoming a dad; adventuring at home on his five-acre farmlet; and his just-released film 'The Human Bean' (40 days eating 191 tins of beans, ending in a 50km ultra). Closes with the hosts trying, and by their own account succeeding, to talk him into finally doing a parkrun.

Welcome starts at 0:13
Episode 200, Scott Trickett and Melissa Erbacher, both having gone back to listen to episode one as homework: the formal opening (Tim and Mel calling him Scott until Robbo started with Scotty), recording over Skype with a Tascam and Adam emailing Mel's audio across, and a podcast landscape that now includes With Me Now, Free Weekly Timed and a new 930 Club. They recall Liv Coop launching Sirromet and Tim as a regular in year one, Scott's Christmas 2015 Whitsunday double at Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island, Australia at 150 events then versus nearly 400 now, lost SoundCloud download stats, the Ugly Christmas Singlets, and Mel's thought that her boys will one day have four and a half years of her voice to listen to, before welcoming Beau Miles back fresh.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 41:36
Lyndell Murray's self-contained roving segment (00:41:36-00:51:31), recorded in check-ins across a single day. Rather than reporting from a parkrun event, she takes on the '42 in 42' challenge, 42km inside 42 hours, which she compresses to 20 hours, deliberately structured as an homage to Beau Miles's 'A Mile an Hour': roughly 2km every hour interleaved with a to-do list of long-deferred errands. Check-ins cover the running splits and the jobs completed (online course, mending running gloves and a cardigan, cleaning ten internal doors, the pantry, the tops of the fans, slow-cooker dinner, scanning old triathlon photos, eating a giant cookie). Mid-report she runs a 2K loop with fellow challenger Tracy Wood, and she notes Queensland restrictions had just eased enough to allow a two-person picnic. Signs off "for the parkrun adventurers and the Channel 5 News Crew". Afterwards Mel adds that Lyndell used the challenge to raise awareness and funds for the Women's Legal Service Queensland.
Social Adventurers starts at 54:25
Listener question put out on social media during the COVID-19 parkrun shutdown: if money and time were no object, which parkrun event anywhere in the world would you do, and who would you have post-parkrun breakfast with? Scott picks a snowy Canadian event with Ricky Gervais; Mel picks Cieszyn parkrun (the Poland/Czech border-crossing event that Poland Country Manager Jakub Fedorowicz sold her on back in season one, episode 9) with Amy Poehler. The hosts note that most listeners' replies named their own home parkrun rather than a bucket-list destination.
Sign-off starts at 1:05:35
Mel teased that episode 201 might be done a little differently, with neither of them on it for the first time in 200 episodes, and asked for a witty mysterious audio file to mark it. She then thanked Scotty for joining her, said it had been nice to reminisce and to chat with Beau again, and Scott said he had tried to convert Beau to parkrun (Mel reckoned he had succeeded) before they wrapped up episode 200 of the parkrun adventurers podcast.
