Episode 38 - Tom Do Canto
Ongoing listener competition. The hosts admit they cannot agree on a winner despite having guaranteed an announcement this week, so the decision is deferred: they will submit their top three to "the powers that be" (an "objective other") and may have them on the podcast to announce it. They praise the volume and quality of entries and flag they will run another one with looser rules and "a little bit more creative license".
Episode 37 - Danny Norman
Listener challenge to create artwork out of Strava GPS traces. Deadline extended to Sunday 25 September (announced in the news at [00:01:29]); winner to be revealed next episode; prizes are a certificate, DVDs and a polo shirt, plus a joke "mystery option P". Mel floats a Strava-art coffee table book as future merch.
Episode 36 - Lucy Bartholomew
Ongoing listener challenge with a week left to enter; Mel jokes about entering as well as judging. Weekly prize reveal continues — the fourth and final "option A" prize is announced as a parkrun polo shirt, with an option B alternative.
Episode 35 - Tom Williams
Scott: "We are now three weeks into our Strava Art Competition." Weekly drip-feed of the prize list — Option P (mystery prize of undisclosed value) versus Option A, whose third prize is revealed by Melissa as two signed DVDs from the hosts' top-10 favourite movies. Entrants must be members of the parkrun Adventurers Strava club; the hosts tease the undisclosed judging criteria and comment on entries drawn on ovals.
Episode 34 - Bill Irving
Ongoing listener challenge to recreate the parkrun tree logo as Strava art. Prizes revealed piecemeal: option P is a "mystery prize of undisclosed value" (possibly 50 cents), option A now includes a handmade costume accessory from Melissa plus a one-of-a-kind certificate designed by Scott. Two more option A prizes still to be announced, entries open a couple more weeks, one entry already received.
Episode 33 - Euan Bowman
Trailed the previous week and revealed here at [00:43:08] with a drum roll. Listeners must join the parkrun Adventurers Strava Club, run a route that draws a replica of an image the hosts will post to Facebook, and email the Strava link in. Entries open 24 August - 20 September, winner announced in episode 37; prize is a choice of "option P" (mystery prize) or "option A" (starting with a one-of-a-kind costume accessory hand-made by Melissa).
