Jessica Hay
Her running-diary Facebook group and Instagram (2,000 and 19,000 followers), the Runner's World article that went viral, registering for parkrun four to five months before actually turning up, fear of being last, her welcome at Highlands parkrun (20 parkruns done, chasing a sub-60), her upcoming Run Melbourne 10K, and a long-term marathon goal.
Steve Dinneen
How to get your running mojo back and how to keep it — diagnosing why motivation goes, going back to basics, changing focus/course/training partners, ignoring the watch, and his own 800-day run streak with its flat patches.

On the Couch with Coach Steve
Coach Steve Dinneen returns "to the couch" to answer the episode's theme question — how to get your running mojo back and how to avoid losing it. Advice: work out WHY it went (overtraining, injury, no goals), go back to basics, stop watching the watch/Strava, change course or training partners, set small goals. He notes he is on an 800-day run streak and has lost his own mojo repeatedly within it, and cites Liam Adams, Mitch Brown and a young athlete Andre Waring as sources of inspiration, plus Scott's own first 3K track race.
Channel 5 News Crew
Two roving reports in one block. PK (Paul Kitching) covers the Cleland parkrun launch in the Adelaide foothills — South Australia's first trail parkrun — interviewing run director/joint ED John Lang, photographer Sputnik, Jane Luke (in a penguin onesie), and quickfire interviews with Esme, Charlie Butler, Julia and three kids; 229 finishers on debut. Then Dave Moss reports from Stanthorpe parkrun's third Christmas in July event. Scott and Mel formally add Dave Moss to the crew at [00:53:44] ("Welcome to the Channel 5 News crew") and nudge Lyndell Murray for a report at [00:53:48]. Scott also flags an upcoming trip to meet PK and the South Australian crew, "just over a month" away.
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
A very quiet week: no launches at all in parkrun Australia, and only two anniversaries — Bathurst (NSW) and Christies Beach (SA). Also no cancellations anywhere, which prompts Mel to add "when was the last week with no cancellations?" to the list of questions for Ian Hay.
