• Episode 160 - Coach Dinneen

Coach Steve Dinneen returns after a long absence for a running-tips Q&A with Scott and Lyndell, with his four-month-old son Billy asleep on his lap. Topics: plan early for a marathon (20-30 weeks out beats 10-12); rebuilding after time off by walk/jogging and Couch to 5K rather than forcing old paces; why dynamic drills and strides have replaced static stretching (warm-up, motor patterns, and the progressive 70/80/90/95% strides); and why the long slow run must actually be slow - Australians "do their slow runs too fast and their fast runs too slow".

• Episode 103

Recurring coaching segment with Steve Dinneen, who has just completed his 1,000th consecutive day of running. Covers shoe rotation to prevent injury (Brooks, cycling two-plus pairs so the midsole rubber can decompress, new shoes for long runs / old for short), a listener question from Ryan on structuring a training week when the only goal is a 5K/parkrun PB (minimum three runs: parkrun, a longer 7-10K run, and a faster session, with easy jogs added), uphill and downhill running technique (arms dictate the legs, short arms up, low and wide arms downhill, arms as a handbrake to stop), and whether the 10% rule applies to Mel's run-the-date month (it doesn't strictly at low volumes; foam roller, spiky ball, massage, hydration and iron instead).

• Episode 91

Coach Steve Dinneen returns for a training Q&A: training and racing in Melbourne heat and Queensland humidity (push sessions later, shorten reps, shade and water, acclimatisation), fluid and electrolyte balance, treadmill running in air conditioning as a hot-weather option, and a long section on pram running for Mel - pram choice, handlebar height, wrist safety strap, not overloading it, and how young is too young for a baby to be run with. Closes with him urging listeners to use the holiday season for parkruns.

• Episode 74

Coach Steve Dinneen returns "to the couch" to answer the episode's theme question, how to get your running mojo back and how to avoid losing it. Advice: work out WHY it went (overtraining, injury, no goals), go back to basics, stop watching the watch/Strava, change course or training partners, set small goals. He notes he is on an 800-day run streak and has lost his own mojo repeatedly within it, and cites Liam Adams, Mitch Brown and a young athlete Andre Waring as sources of inspiration, plus Scott's own first 3K track race.

• Episode 63

Studio interview with Coach Steve Dinneen (osteopath and sports scientist) on injury prevention for runners: drills vs static stretching, the three most common recreational running injuries (calf/Achilles, runner's knee, glutes/piriformis), causes (technique, shoes, load, fatigue), and specific self-management advice for Melissa's piriformis/sciatic pain (spiky ball, foam roller, heat, strength). Closes with Steve's recent Masters 35-39 3000m indoor world title.

• Episode 54

Brand-new coaching segment. Scott introduces his own coach, Stephen Dinneen, who gives tips for improving parkrun times: mix up runs ("variety is the spice of life"), vary distance/pace/course, break a 5K into 2x3K efforts with a walk break, run a familiar loop in reverse, and use a Mona fartlek on out-and-back courses. He advises working off perceived effort and not worrying about getting sessions wrong. Sign-off notes he is heading to the World Masters Indoors in Korea in March.
