Kellie Emmerson
Her Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc run — the 170km/10,000m-elevation course, blizzards and minus-10 conditions, mandatory kit, going off caffeine for three weeks to manage sleep deprivation, the 4km sprint finish down to Chamonix to take fifth from Alissa St Laurent, training at the base of the Dandenong Ranges, parkrun as speed work, and her favourite Australian ultras (Surf Coast Century, Ultra-Trail Australia).
Jason Oxenbridge
What Bravehearts does — child protection education for 3-8 year olds (750,000 children reached), duty-of-care training for adults, White Balloon Day on Friday 8 September, the "chalk it up" chalk-art competition (which Scott challenges parkrunners to join on Saturday), the eco-friendly cyber balloon race launched from Parliament House, and the Bravehearts 777 seven-marathons-in-seven-days event.
Marina Woodward
Post-launch chat about Inverell parkrun — 121 runners and walkers at event one, where Inverell sits in the New England region, the town's abattoir/steelworks/grazing economy and the McIntyre River course, frosty-but-sunny winter mornings, getting the event off the ground in six months with co-ED Nikki Webb, her parkrun travels (Port Stephens, Kirra, Main Beach, Lismore, Yamba) and expectations of 50-70 runners a week from event two on.

Streaky September
The hosts' running check-in on the #streakyseptember daily-streak challenge, week one. Melissa reports her legs are struggling "coming off a base of nothing" and that her whole family (husband Adam, baby Wes) is streaking together; Scott reports Team Trickett is still on track after lasting only three days in August, with a late-night torch-lit family walk/run with Kasia and Yvonne. Resumes at [00:47:50] for the promised "roundup of our streaky Septembers... including the splits", where Scott instead tells the story of two mates (Chris and Barney) walking back with him when a headache stopped his Sunday run: "Runners are good people, Mel."
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
Weekly new-event and anniversary roundup. One launch this week: North Wollongong (NSW), the second event in the Wollongong area alongside Shellharbour and Sandon Point. Anniversaries: Bega (NSW), Inverloch (Victoria — "Always Sunny Inverloch") and Wynnum (Queensland). Scott also teases that he was "on a secret mission last week at parkrun" and may be starting a new event himself.
parkrun adventure challenge (listener challenge)
"Streaky September Bingo" — five challenges set for listeners to check off during the month: (1) streak in your PJs, (2) streak a parkrun, (3) streak a freedom run, (4) post a streaky selfie (Facebook group, or #streakySeptember on Instagram/Twitter), (5) streak with a friend. The hosts debate whether doing four at once counts as cheating; Scott rules it does not but urges people to "spread out the fun". A pyjama-run idea floated at [00:07:12] is parked earlier in the episode and then revived here.
