Emma Timmis
What an ElliptiGO/elliptical bike is, her 8,000km solo self-supported ride from Denham (WA) to the easternmost point of Australia, the overweight trailer, headwinds and rain, crossing the Nullarbor, running across Africa in 2014, the One Girl charity in Uganda and Sierra Leone, and her plan to bookend the trip with parkruns to test whether elliptical training improves running fitness (Applecross parkrun the previous day).
Melissa Taylor
Nambour parkrun as the toughest parkrun in Australia, its hills and Mongrel Hill, the Stack Club and its badges, how the event was founded with Darren from Anytime Fitness, becoming a run director at Kawana after Melissa Erbacher recruited her, conquering a fear of public speaking, and her top three parkruns.

In this episode
Meet the ED
Interview with Melissa Taylor, Event Director of Nambour parkrun on the Sunshine Coast — "the toughest parkrun in Australia", 100% trails, hills that add three to five minutes, the Nambour/Sunshine Coast Stack Club and its badges, how the event came about via Darren from the Anytime Fitness gym and Radar Hill, her fear of public speaking as an ED, and her top three parkruns (Millwater in Auckland, Bunyaville, Ginninderra). Approaching 100 events.
Roving Adventurers (roving reporter crossovers)
Ricci McGreevey files a long self-contained roving report from Colin Glen parkrun in West Belfast, Northern Ireland — course description (woodland, Colin River, Gruffalo trail, brutal hills), then six interviews: Gerard Devine (50th parkrun), Paula Burns (106th), Aisling McAleese (her sister-in-law, 2nd parkrun), volunteer Tracey McCulloch, Run Director Shauna, milestone runners Nicola (100th) and Bobby (200th) from Carrickfergus/Seapark AC, and Joint ED Claire. Hosts cross back at 01:04:35 and Scott calls her "my gun reporter".
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
Two launches this weekend: Nuriootpa in South Australia (renamed from Barossa Bush Gardens parkrun before it even launched — with an extended running gag about how to pronounce it) and Redcliffe in Queensland, which Mel predicts will be a massive launch given its proximity to Sandgate and Brisbane. Anniversaries at Pakenham (Victoria) and Palmerston (Northern Territory) — "two Ps on the same weekend".
Streaky September
Week two round-up of the Streaky September challenge. Scott is still streaking, helped by his injury forcing easy 2-3km evening walks with Yvonne and Kasia; Mel is still streaking too but reports that Wes has broken his streak. They then run through the "Bingoe" card released on Facebook that week (streak with a friend, streak a parkrun, streak selfie, freedom run, jim jams, bonus: streak with a podcast) — both have three of five. Includes Scott's dingo/chigoe ("a small tropical flea") explanation for the deliberate E in "Bingoe".
