A return visit from parkrun Canada's country manager: growth to 14 events in under two years, the geographic spread (Clover Point as the world's most westerly parkrun; work still needed in the Maritimes), the new Saucony sponsorship and its ambassador programme, running and volunteering through a Canadian winter (cancellations, ice vs snow, councils clearing paths at Frédéric Back and Okanagan, keeping stationary volunteers safe), Whistler's seasonal shutdown and return, a long list of events in the pipeline (Springbank, Burnaby, Oakville, Charlottetown, Winnipeg, Halifax and more), the relationship with parkrun USA and the emerging Pacific Northwest cluster, and his vision of a parkrun in virtually every park in Canada with the junior series to follow.

Scott Trickett and Melissa Erbacher, Mel still in New York. Scott, after an early airport run to collect his brother, tried Newport Lakes parkrun on his own, a spaghetti-map loop through a converted quarry, and came home with a top-ten finish. Mel skipped an official parkrun after a rough night with Wes and did a pop-up freedom run at Prospect Park with Adam, where she was first female finisher and ran the whole way for the second week running, which Scott credits to her run-every-day March.

Two Australian launches this weekend: Ocean View in Queensland, held at a winery with running up and down through the vines, whose team are "throwing down the gauntlet to Nambour parkrun" for the title of toughest parkrun in Australia; and Wildflower in New South Wales. Anniversaries at Altona Beach (VIC), Curl Curl (NSW), Timboon (VIC), The Entrance (NSW) and Yarrabilba (QLD).
