Welcome starts at 0:22
Ollie Spake, recorded a night early, with Melissa Ellis, who is celebrating her birthday and regaining Victorian statesmanship. Ollie, in Greater Sydney lockdown alongside Perth and Peel, slept in and skippedparkrun on Saturday, then did a slow coastalparkrun with Hannah in their new ugly buffs, nursing a sore back ahead of hill training. Mel ran Dorset Recreation Reserve at event two, with an unexpected run chat with Narelle from Westerfolds juniors, stayed with Steve and Helen for birthday cake, and had 16 kids and four junior volunteers including Abby at a foggy, puddle-free Eynesbury juniors after a kangaroo hit her car on the way in.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 18:26
Melissa Ellis crosses to the week's roving reports "So shall we listen now to our raving [roving] reports?" Three reports follow back to back: Mark Scarborough from Cleve/Yeldulknie Weir parkrun in SA, Tracey in a Tutu from Kedron with a sausage roll playlist, and Mark Scarborough again from Port Lincoln parkrun. The hosts debrief all three.
Alphabet wheel spin starts at 18:42
Immediately before the roving reports the hosts spin an alphabet wheel to pick a letter, "But first, let's spin our alphabet wheel and see what it comes up with" / "And it's a Y." It ties into the parkrun alphabet challenge, and the letter Y is called back three times ("having a Y for your name is also big helpful for the alphabet challenge", "come and get a Y", "And spinning the wheel for a letter Y").
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 18:49
Mark Scarborough files two reports under the Channel 5 News Crew banner from South Australia, "this is Mark reporting in for Channel 5 News crew" at both (Cleve/Yeldulknie Weir) and (Port Lincoln). Interviews the Yeldulknie Weir RD Mark, plus Annabelle, Richard and Darren at Port Lincoln. A rival "Channel 2 news crew" is name-checked.
Sausage Roll Club starts at 24:55
A running bakery-rating club threaded through the episode: Tracey in a Tutu builds a sausage roll playlist "for adventurers if they're taking on the challenge of the Sausage Roll Club"; the hosts then debate Victorian Premier Dan Andrews's own bakery recommendations- and whether Euroa parkrun qualifies; several Dazza's posts rate sausage rolls out of ten.
Dazza's starts at 36:04
The listener-post cafe segment,-. Posts read from Val Warwick (Devonport), Mark Scarborough, Rebecca Bailey, Bernadette Bennett (Newy), Alison King (Puarenga, NZ), Ingrid Botha, Brett Bailey, Janet Reid (The Avenues), Melanie McGregor (Greytown Woodside Rail Trail), Jordan Groobie (Torrens), Sam Schroder, Faye Morgan (Coomera), Nadine Crawford (Cairns), Mandy Oliver, Tanya Bailey, Tracy Wood (Kedron), Jack Corkill (Cormorant Bay 100th event), Greg Garner, Julie Young, Chris Fraser, and a late entry from Pippa White.
the Informant starts at 53:38
Weekly unofficial stats report,-. "Going rogue" without a script: a rundown of the six Australian Junior 2k parkruns and their wristband milestones, then global figures, 594 events in 9 countries, 30,238 Aussie/NZ runners of 41,954 worldwide, 3,396 PBs, 1,035 first-timers, one launch at Peace Valley (USA), 22 bingo calls, 8 new statespeople, 74 WIndex increases. The hosts note that the segment was dropped in during post-production because they recorded on a weekend.
International Ugly Christmas Singlet Day starts at 1:00:20
Build-up to the 24 July "Ugly Christmas in July" event,-, this year run with ugly buffs rather than singlets. Ollie reports doing aparkrun in his ugly buff; Melissa says she is saving hers for the 24th; the hosts note buffs have turned up in New Zealand and ask listeners to share "They've Arrived" photos to the Ugly Christmas in July page. Doubles up with the return of parkrun England on the same date.
Sign-off starts at 1:03:20
Ollie said that was possibly it for another week and asked everyone to share their 'they've arrived' ugly buff photos, and more importantly to share them with the Ugly Christmas in July page to build the excitement. He gave the contact details - Facebook or their gmail address - and said that was it for another week and they would see everyone next week for more adventures.
The Oracle starts at 1:05:01
A short post-outro bonus bit after the hosts have signed off: a Yoda-voiced "This is the oracle" delivering the Euro 2020 final result the hosts had said they did not know because they recorded a night early, "Finished it is. Victors, Italy [are]."
