This week is a huge celebration of outback fun and glitter with Mel bringing us all the joy of her Broken Hill Racecourse (opens in a new tab) parkrun adventure.
Also, a plevora (Olly??!) of roving reports from north, south, east and west at Palmerston (opens in a new tab), Wilson Inlet Heritage Trail (opens in a new tab), Harmony Boulevard (opens in a new tab) and Cobram (opens in a new tab) parkrun.
Plus, there's two more challenges to add to the bingoe card and Pippa sings the praises of streaking with a friend.

Episode 350, Melissa Ellis on Wurundjeri Country and Ollie Spake on Dharawal Country, nearly three years since they took over around episode 216. Mel scored the coloured Murray Cod in her big things coin set; Ollie recaps a Shellharbour frond then North Wollongong with the Warwicks, a run at home under Karen's RD reins, and a visit from former listener Margaret from Tamworth. Mel and Martine Barrot drove 820km to Broken Hill Racecourse on Wilyakali land (36 participants, RD Simo), coinciding with the Broken Heel festival and friend Michelle Carlos, taking in the Line of Lode sunrise, the big bench, Silverton's Mad Max 2 Museum, the Pro Hart Gallery and Bell's Milk Bar before driving home for juniors.

Oliver Spake apologises for the late level-up Bingoe card and announces two new bingo squares for the September streaking challenge: street sign spelling (themeless this time, spell a big thing or your next adventure) and parkrun with a friend, which can include a dog or a troll. Melissa Ellis asks whether squares can be claimed retrospectively and is told to make her own rules.

Oliver Spake hands over to "an absolute plethora" of roving reports, four this week, from Palmerston parkrun in the Northern Territory, Wilson Inlet Heritage Trail at Denmark WA, Harmony Boulevard on the Sunshine Coast and Cobram in Victoria. Melissa Ellis closes the block, welcoming Wilson Inlet Heritage Trail and Harmony Boulevard to the parkrun family and wishing Palmerston a happy seventh birthday.

Five launches this week: Sheep River parkrun in Sheep River Park, Canada, about 100km south-west of Calgary (74 participants); Ebenberg in Germany on the Landau state garden showgrounds (155); Stadspark Sittard in the Netherlands (57); Dover Waterfront in the UK, running behind the beach and along the pier (117, no dogs); and Quakers Walk in the UK (37, dogs welcome). Earlier in the episode the hosts also welcome Wilson Inlet Heritage Trail and Harmony Boulevard to the parkrun family and wish Palmerston parkrun a happy seventh birthday for 17 September.

Melissa Ellis throws to the Streakmeister. Pippa reports from the New Forest in the UK, where she celebrated a friend's 100th parkrun at Moors Valley Country Park and then walked rather than ran with him, enjoying the plants, the trees and each other's company, and lobbies for "streak with a friend" to be added to this year's Bingoe card. Afterwards the hosts compare streaks: Oliver admits breaking his on Friday after a G Flip concert in Sydney and restarting at three days, while Melissa is still going on three kilometres a day and is ticking off bingo squares.

Ollie said he could not think of anything else coming up in the parkrun world and asked where Mel would be that parkrun day; she said she was staying local and returning to a local parkrun because her daughter's bridal shower was on the Saturday afternoon and she had Mother of the Bride duties, while Ollie said he would be at Shellharbour, where he expected to be for the next month, volunteering or parkrunning on the Saturday because he was running on the Sunday. They both looked ahead to The Punish on 21 October, with Ollie camping alongside a Shellharbour contingent of three, before Ollie thanked Mel and everyone for their contributions and company, gave the parkrun adventurers Facebook and email contacts and closed for another week.
