• Episode 104

  Nested inside Lyndell's roving report — she flags it explicitly: "It's a parkrun launch in Queensland. It's time for a Statesman update." Schulze reports there is currently no statesman in Queensland (he missed Plantation and Cardwell), that Forest Lake is Queensland's 85th event with Cardwell making 86, and that he plans a trip to Mount Isa to close the gap.

  Delivered from the field rather than the studio this week, inside Lyndell's Greenbank report. At [00:11:17] "the question always comes up at parkrun launches. Are there any statesmen?" She tracks down "our three remaining statesmen who have maintained that status today" — Michael, Rasheen and Alan — and interviews them on what it takes to keep the status; Alan and Rasheen are also doing their 100th different Australian parkrun that day.   Discussion of the George Town launch's effect on Tasmanian statesmen — a lot of people lost their statesman title with the new fourth Tasmanian event, including "international statesmen" who will need to make trips over the strait to reclaim it.

• Episode 59 - Nicola Forwood

  Within the Ian Hay segment, Mel asks "what the current state of play is with statesmen". Counts by state: ACT 241, Northern Territory 217, Tasmania 82, New South Wales 3, South Australia 8, Victoria 5, WA 8, Queensland 1 — almost 500 all up. Mel notes Weipa has "broken many" aspiring statesmen. Ian adds that, excluding the three small territories/states, only one statesman has never volunteered.
