Secret Mission / Adventurer Challenge (Freedom Run missions)
Hosts recap a challenge issued on Facebook during the week: listeners signed up for a 'top secret mission' without being told what it was, then had to run a course they'd never run before and record their impressions. Eight listener recordings are played back-to-back (Ollie at Main Beach, Bree at Studley, Nicole at Launceston, Melissa at Jells Park, Chris at Port Macquarie, Caro at Maylands Peninsula, Karen at Frog Hollow, Kelly at Salisbury), followed by a thank-you and a promise of more missions to come.
Social landscape round-up (social media + anniversaries)
Mel reads through the week's Facebook activity from the adventurer community — a grandson's first official parkrun at Campbelltown, Jeanette Campbell's 21st at Mitchelton and the third Campbell to reach the 50 Club, a Terrace parkrun road trip, and Amanda joining the 25 Club at Coburg/Westerfolds.
Roving report — Matt Fullerton at Albury Wodonga parkrun
Roving adventurer Matt Fullerton reports from Albury Wodonga parkrun's second anniversary, interviewing Event Director Sarah about the 'bright, tights and tutus' theme, the RBR Party Hire photo booth, the out-and-back course along the Murray River that crosses from NSW into Victoria, 325 finishers (just short of last week's 330 record), over 3,000 registrations, and how a single visit to Newcastle parkrun inspired them to start the event.
Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")
Mel cues Scotty with the weekly 'Where's the cake this week?' question; they cover Yamba's anniversary and the week's single launch at Rockhampton parkrun, which Mel is flying up to attend and will report on next week.
