  Scott crosses to Cairns parkrun Event Director Lorraine Lawson. Covers the Esplanade course (two loops plus an out-and-back), the local crocodile the briefing team calls "Gary", Cairns heat and humidity, her South African background and move via Perth, her ultra running (64km Kuranda to Port Douglas, which she also race-directs), how she brought parkrun to Cairns after hearing Tim Oberg speak in 2012 and later meeting Bruce Fordyce, Cairns parkrun's imminent third anniversary, and her parkrun tourism in South Africa. Ends with the co-host issuing her an adventure challenge: to seek out and run Piggly Wiggly parkrun in South Africa.

• Listener audio report — Krakow parkrun, Poland (Monique Brennan)

  Listener Monique Brennan, from Wishart, sends in audio she recorded at Krakow parkrun while travelling in Poland with her friend Alana from Chermside parkrun. She interviews run director Piotr (100 parkruns), beginner Marcin Ortman, and 87-year-old Jan (142 parkruns, 33 marathons). Scott plays the insert and thanks her afterwards.

• International parkrun adventures — guest interviews (Steve Rayner, Des Rountree)

  A themed block of two guest interviews continuing the international thread. Steve Rayner (run director at Southbank, Brisbane) describes parkruns at Uditore in Palermo, Mandavit outside Bordeaux, and Paris — where he stepped in as timekeeper and where the run director asks for locals rather than visitors to raise their hands, and where his wife Anne ran her 100th parkrun. Then Des Rountree, a Sunshine Coast parkrunner, on Andover parkrun in Hampshire and Ormeau Park parkrun in his home town of Belfast.

• Strava Club update

  The parkrun Adventurers Strava club sits on 151 members; Scott jokes "I'm not Ian Hay, but..." while giving the numbers. Weekly leaderboard: Brendan Davies 130.3km, John Pearson 130.1km. A Strava-based listener competition is teased for next week's episode.

• Launches and anniversaries ("Where is the cake?")

  Scott: "We don't have any launches this week. And is there any chance of getting some cake anywhere?" The co-host replies that you'd need to go to Tasmania, where an event celebrates its second anniversary this weekend.
