Competing in the first-ever Paralympic triathlon in Rio and being injured while leading; being born a congenital above-knee amputee; his first hand-carved wooden leg; taking up running in 2013 and the noexcuses.com.au philosophy; the cost of his three prosthetic legs and the funding system for para-athletes; his goal of a sub-20-minute 5K benchmarked at parkrun; Tokyo 2020; and becoming a father in three weeks.
