Nadine Crawford
Her two-week South Island New Zealand campervan trip, in which she and husband Ian did every parkrun on the South Island - two as official Saturday events (Queenstown and Dunedin) and the rest as freedom runs: Blenheim, Pegasus, Foster, Balclutha, Invercargill, Wanaka and Hagley. She talks about how freedom running works, using course pages and Relive videos, and the tiny 161-member New Zealand parkrun tourism Facebook group who helped plan it; Queenstown was the standout ("absolutely the most stunning parkrun I've ever done"), run alongside Tim Baldwin. Scott then turns her to Rosebud parkrun - the double out-and-back course, the boardwalk, Arthur's Seat, the pier and the cafe - and she previews upcoming trips to Queensland in May and eventually the UK.

Welcome starts at 0:21
Scott Trickett and Melissa Erbacher, with Mel's toddler Wes brought in as an apprentice co-host after feedback that last week's Nick Pearson episode ran long. Mel timekept at Kawana, where Adam brought home somebody else's token, 135, for the second week running; Scott abandoned a planned trip to Toolern Creek, messaged a mate and ran Darebin for the P-index. Nadine's interview is coming up.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 28:15
The hosts formally set Mark's entry challenge for the Channel 5 News Crew. Scott: "Mark has been dazzling us with some stats and some great roving reporting. It's about time we had the discussion about whether he's worthy to enter into the Channel 5 News crew." The challenge, set by Erbacher and Trickett: report from an event that neither host has on their Wilson Index, and deliver a genuine "deep dive" of out-there stats about it rather than numbers lifted off the event website. Erbacher notes precedent - "we made things pretty difficult for Melissa Ellis when she wanted to come on board and join the crew" - and they refuse to say which Wilson Index numbers they are chasing, making that part of the challenge.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 30:35
Two roving reports, both from B events - "We're all about the bees this week. Mark was at Bateman's Bay and Melissa Ellis was at Bannockburn Bush." Mark reports from Batemans Bay parkrun (NSW) on its 149th event, interviewing locals Lisa and Emma, Event Director Kim, and international adventurer Louise. Melissa Ellis reports from Bannockburn Bush parkrun (Victoria), interviewing Event Director Julie and, at brunch at Bannockburn Station, new Victorian Statesmen Parth and Irene.
Launches and anniversaries starts at 48:04"Where is the cake?"
No launches this weekend, but a run of anniversaries - Erbacher notes it is "a pirate type of weekend" with a lot of Cs: Campbelltown (NSW), Cardwell (Qld) and Coombs (ACT), plus Forest Lake (Qld), Maylands Peninsula (WA), Rockhampton (Qld) and Yamba (NSW).
Flashbacks starts at 48:47
A recap of where each host parkrunned on 26 January, one of the weekends the podcast had off. Scott was at Phillip Island parkrun on his wedding anniversary (complete with a farmers' market he insists is put on for him); Melissa Erbacher was at Kawana for the last week of the summer beach course, where visiting Michael Sharp, co-ED at the Beaches parkrun, brought a specimen jar and swapped sand between the two events so they are now "sand siblings". Scott announces this as "the final flashback segment", so the bit is being wound up here.
Sign-off starts at 53:34
Hearing tears, Scott called for the wrap of the flashbacks and the podcast, and the pair agreed the experiment of having Wesley co-host had been an epic fail as Mel reported the showman was also appearing and Wesley had started throwing vehicles around the house. Scott thanked Wesley and Mel for episode 149, Mel had Wes give a silent kiss goodbye, and Scott admitted he had forgotten the sound effects - no harps for the flashbacks last week and no plane or train over the Nick Pearson interview at the point where the parkrun Japan launch date was withheld - teasing listeners to keep listening next week to find out.
