Welcome starts at 0:22
Melissa Erbacher back after her break, with Lyndell Murray as co-host and running jokes that they have replaced Scotty, who may grovel his way back for an interview later. Lyndell was at home at Bunyaville with a friend she introduced to parkrun who has already done three countries; a little rain, tacky clay, water in the creek and muddy-chested park dogs. Mel run-directed a wet and windy Kawana for the third week running: the wet-weather setup, a monsoon arriving 25 minutes in, wind scattering the finish tokens, two sub-16 finishers, a group of Victorian visitors, Emmett asleep in the carrier and Wesley dry under a newly bought pram cover.

Mark Scarborough reports from the pop-up Freedom Run at Main Beach parkrun on the Friday before the Gold Coast Marathon (the event's own Saturday parkrun being cancelled for the marathon). He hands the mic to Indigenous Marathon Project head coach Adrian Dodson-Shaw, who explains the project's 10-year history under Rob de Castella, its 86 New York City Marathon graduates and its 12-a-year intake, then has this year's squad and several graduates introduce themselves in turn, Kiefer Yu, Narendra Dempsey, Shane Cook, Kate Axton, Jordan Armstrong, Jordan Merritt, Tyrone Bean, Em Broderick, Tanisha Atkinson, Sienna Cotullo, Neil Sabatino, Travis Naden, plus graduates Jess Bartholomew and Harriet David. Mark then does vox pops with Reece and Sam, two junior parkrunners, returning interviewees Bill and Jodie (last spoken to in January at Studley parkrun), and a group from Highlands (VIC) and Lismore (NSW).
Launches and anniversaries starts at 52:22"Where is the cake?"
Zero launches this week. Anniversaries at Cormorant Bay (QLD, which Scott says has gone to the top of his wish list), Dubbo, Gatton, Gawler, Kennington Reservoir, a first anniversary under its new name, formerly Bendigo parkrun, with Scott explaining the event team drove the rename because they literally run around Kennington Reservoir, plus Noosa, Phillip Island, Pittsworth and Wauchope.
Sign-off starts at 1:00:48
Scott turned from the story of running Albert Park alongside Sam Wood to closing, saying it was great to have Mel back, that all the regulars had returned that day with Lyndell and Timmy joining for a great wrap-up, that he was full of parkrun happiness, and that they should leave it there and do it all again next week. Mel said she looked forward to coming back two weeks in a row and was glad he was not ready to put her back on hiatus.
