Welcome starts at 0:19
Melissa Erbacher and Scott Trickett, with Mel defending Scott against listeners' unflattering replacement suggestions. Mel was at home after a last-minute roster switch and is still some weeks off visiting new events on doctor's orders, though she may walk them; Scott admits his ankle burns after every run. Scott went alone to Sunbury, his near-NENDY, and delivers a whinge about locals only ever mentioning the hill when the course has a homestead, a lake, geese and a bluestone-bridge finish next to a winery, calling it one of the best courses he has run; Mel confesses to milk-less banana muffins, and the segment closes by introducing social prescribing.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 22:19
Lyndell Murray files a roving report from Gainsborough Greens parkrun (south of Brisbane, north of the Gold Coast) on Kids Takeover Day, interviewing the young volunteers: Alyssa, first-time Run Director, who wrote her briefing out and rehearsed it in front of her mum; Bella on barcode scanning; Jess the Tail Walker; and Daniel the photographer. Signs off "checking in for the Channel 5 News crew".

Tony O'Connell reports in from East Coast parkrun in "hot and humid" Singapore, after a taxi driver who had no idea where to go. He interviews a group of visiting tourists, Peter and his wife Rosalind from London, Lynn from Newy (NSW), and Stuart from Huntington, a run streaker on day 1913 of running 5k daily, then a group of locals: Nayana (56 runs, came via her school cross-country team), her mum Charu (close to 50), Katja (fourth run) and a school teammate. Talk turns to how routinely the tourist count at East Coast rivals the locals.
Launches and anniversaries starts at 37:57"Where is the cake?"
Announced by Mel as "the very final call-out for launches and anniversaries", with a drum roll. No launches this week. Anniversaries: Bathurst (NSW), Christies Beach (SA), Cleland (SA, with a running gag about how to pronounce it), Coomera (Qld), one further Queensland event and Weipa (Qld). Scott laments that there are no Victorian anniversaries in the final week.
Sign-off starts at 44:14
Mel said that was probably it for all the fun that had been had that week, and Scott returned to an earlier thread about who had been backstabbing him over replacing himself as co-host, offering to play the outro music first; Mel refused to put it on record and told him to stay as her co-host. They then set an Instagram challenge for the coming Saturday, asking listeners to flood Instagram with parkrun adventures posts and tag the account, and made it a Mel-versus-Scott contest despite Instagram having hidden like counts.
parkrun adventure challenge starts at 45:24listener challenge
Prompted by their neglected Instagram account, Scott sets a listener challenge to "flood Instagram with parkrun adventurers love" and tag the show, noting Instagram has just hidden public like counts. This becomes a Mel-versus-Scott side bet: each will post one photo on Saturday and see who gets more likes.
