Howdy parkrun adventurers! It's been a LONG week and so much has happened. It's a crazy time, we're still here though and we have a new episode for you!

Episode #197 has got loads to keep you entertained as TOC returns to guest co-host and Mel chats with Jon Pendse, a West Aussie parkrunner who went for a rather long warm-up before a recent parkrunday. Plus, luckily for everyone, we have a small backlog of fresh frivolity from roving reporters who visited events before the global shutdown. They're coming to you from Bendigo Botanic Gardens (opens in a new tab) parkrun, Rockingham (opens in a new tab) parkrun, Tuggeranong (opens in a new tab) parkrun and Paradise Point (opens in a new tab) parkrun

Jon Pendse

West Australian parkrunner; winner of the Delirious West 200 Miler ultra

Winning the Delirious West 200 Miler (about 350 km on the Bibbulmun Track from Northcliffe to Albany) in just over 70 hours on under four hours' sleep, then backing up hours later to run Mount Clarence parkrun as the closest event to the finish line, his slowest ever parkrun. Covers training on tired legs, breaking the race into 100 km segments, the running poles he had never used before, keeping his Garmin charged, the Bogan Keg Run social event the night before, and his WA parkrun tourism (72 parkruns at 28 events).
