Welcome starts at 0:23
Melissa Ellis hosting with Ollie Spake and his much-commented-on hair. Mel's trip to New South Wales went ahead despite the relaunch being postponed: she stayed with the Frasers and joined a 6am Banksia Avenueparkrun over the Windang Bridge with Chris Fraser, Caro Vos, Karen and Ralph from the Shellharbour crew, Brendan Scholarly and Patrick Shymitzek (Shimo), with Bec Bailey giving the run brief remotely and the group photo taken outside her house. Mel backed up for Eynesbury juniors, 14 kids and Abby back.
Social Adventurers starts at 7:42
Hosts recap Facebook comments on last week's episode post: Ingrid Botha on storing barcodes electronically (prompting Mel's attempt to get a barcode app onto her Garmin), Janet Reid asking for a sound effect and applause before the Obi recipient is announced, and Tracy Wood praising the waffling, the Obi Award and the Not Abby outtake.
Launches and anniversaries starts at 11:18"Where is the cake?"
parkrun Germany's fourth birthday (launched 2 December 2017), and the launch of Vorkuta City Park parkrun in Russia - now the world's most northern parkrun, inside the Arctic Circle, with 15 participants - which sends Mel off into a researched explanation of what the Arctic Circle actually is. Anniversaries continue through the roving reports: Cottesloe's 300th, Torrens' 9th birthday (and with it parkrun South Australia's 9th), and the Nathalia Showgrounds launch.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 15:36
Ollie crosses over "we do have a bunch of roving reports" to a block of four back-to-back reports: Greta Wilkinson at Anstey Hill Recreation (SA), Lynette at the Nathalia Showgrounds launch (VIC), Sarah Jefferson at Cottesloe's 300th (WA) and PK at Torrens' 9th birthday (SA). Hosts debrief afterwards, including a debate about whether Anstey Hill is Australia's hardest parkrun (193m elevation gain).
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 15:52
Two of the four roving reporters file explicitly under the Channel 5 banner - Greta "It's Greta here reporting in for the Channel 5 News crew" and Lynette "checking in as a roving report on behalf of the Channel 5 news crew".
Emails starts at 35:03
"Mel. You've got mail." One email, from Parth (of the Bomakanti family), saying he and Irene love Abigail's report at the end of the outro music and asking to have their names read out - which the hosts duly do.
Dazza's starts at 38:16
Dazza is tired and yearns for a quiet corner to marshal under a tree near the ocean. Check-ins read out from Richard, Sonja Pohlman, Tanya Bailey, Brett Bailey, Rebecca Bailey, Alison King (100th notty in a row), Sam Schroder, Tracy Wood, Claire Stutchbury, Cameron Drake, Greg Garner, Michael Schultz, Jodie Maisie, Parth Bommakanti, Jeff Whiffen, Chris Hood, Michael Scott, Lynette Anne, and Stephen and Val Warwick, plus milestone celebrations from Greta Wilkinson, Sally Heppleston, Nadine Crawford (250th), Jane Luke, Janet Reid and last week's Obi winner Pippa White.
the Obi Award — Nadine Crawford starts at 50:20
"So cue the music" - Ollie opens the envelope and announces the winner. Awarded for her long-awaited 250th parkrun milestone at her home parkrun Rosebud, with a massive PB, and especially for the sentiment the hosts single out: "absolutely love parkrun touristing, but it would be absolutely empty without my tribe". Ollie: "you're spot on the money ... It's wonderful with the tribe." Last week's recipient, Pippa White, is also mentioned during Dazza's.
the Informant starts at 51:23

Aussie attendance up 1,363 to 26,502 of 151,252 worldwide; 2,373 PBs; 964 first-timers; milestone counts; 17 bingo callers; 11 new statespeople; top-20 and Wilson Index movers. Closes with a German-anniversary special: 45 events, 2,469 runs, average attendance 41, 23,368 athletes, 101,522 finishes.
Consolidated Club Report starts at 55:47
Adventurers Club up three members to 72; 40 people on the Consolidated Club Report (down three on last week); 25 adventurers recorded notties. not parkrun results: Cambo 26, Port Macquarie 13, Shellharbour 13 (third), and two down at the creek. Across the ditch: Anderson Park 48, Whangarei 47, Pegasus 40.
International Ugly Christmas Singlet Day starts at 58:18
Reminder that International Ugly Christmas Singlet or Shirt Day is Saturday 18 December - hopefully the day New South Wales relaunches and reunites Australian parkrun. Several listeners in Dazza's had already received their shirts.
Christmas Compendium starts at 59:19
Christmas Day and New Year's Day both fall on Saturdays this year, so no bonus parkruns. Ollie's latest count of the compendium: 151 events declared they will operate on Christmas Day and 193 on New Year's Day, with 78 declared not operating on Christmas Day and roughly 48 hours of declarations still to come.
Sign-off starts at 1:05:03
Ollie asked Mel where the coming week would take her; she planned to bundle Zoe into the car on Friday afternoon for an overnighter to Nathalia Showgrounds parkrun, the new Victorian event launched that week, as a mother-daughter road trip. Ollie said it was quite possibly his last weekend without a parkrun and that he would be camping on the New South Wales south coast at Bendalong, running out to Manyana on Saturday morning, with Ava never having camped in a tent before. He then gave the Facebook and parkrunadventurers@gmail.com contacts and signed off with "that is it for another week".
Abby's report starts at 1:08:58
Post-outro report from Abigail: she went to junior parkrun, got bitten by a big ant on the ankle, came 13th, didn't like the sandwich or the almond croissant Mum bought, and is holding out for a hot chocolate. "Bye, everybody. Stay safe." A listener email earlier in the episode confirms it is a standing end-of-episode fixture: "Hang out for it at the end of the outro music."
