Welcome starts at 0:23
Simon Mackley on Quandamooka Country and Sarah Jefferson on Noongar Country. Sarah recounts her delayed flight to New Zealand via Christchurch (a lesson for PALM 2025 travel), meeting David Walliams in the Qantas lounge, and park walking her home Cottesloe event 452 before a Cold Chisel concert; Simon went to Fodder Forest's third birthday with the south-east Queensland ambassadors and listeners Lockie and Alan. Budgie is heading to Lithgow with Bec Bailey before the Panorama Punish; adventurers Jo McLean, Eman Vergara and Stuart and Vicky Henderson ran the Chicago Marathon; Simon updates on Aussies in the Backyard Ultra world champs on Herdy's course, and Queenstown parkrun won a Spirit of Wakatipu People's Choice award.
Roving reports & the Channel 5 News crew starts at 14:29
Sarah hands over to the roving reports; a single report follows, Lyndell Murray at Sirromet parkrun in South East Queensland interviewing Run Director Liam. Simon returns to note it was the only one this week and had been held over from the previous week, and repeats the standing invitation for listeners to submit reports of five to seven minutes without needing to be a Channel 5 News Crew member.
Dazza's starts at 22:37
Sarah reads Dazza's post for New Friends Day: parkrun has brought him many friends he never speaks to outside Saturday morning, a familiar greeting and a polite wave can mean a great deal, and he asks who listeners met that morning, including anyone who spotted a blue adventurers shirt in the wild.
parkrun adventure challenge starts at 23:27listener challenge
The listener challenge is to form a letter with your body, with a friend, through the parkrun selfie frame. Entries read out: Rex Gream with Clancy and Samantha Skinner forming a capital H at Horseshoe Bay Reserve; Lockie Miners at Fodder Forest with Simon Mackley, photo by Lachie's wife Nicola; Chloe and Dave Bravos forming a capital A at Aveley; Carolyn McRae with Jan Maines at Euroa; Yvette Turner with seven recruits at Mount Ainslie; Ali from a parkrun in Poland; Chris Horowitz at Montrose Foreshore, his 96th different event; Adrian Luscombe at a very wet Battersea with 1,116 finishers; Heather Patzel first-timing as a volunteer at Mount Gambier. Simon confirms the same challenge carries over to next week.
the Obi Award — Rex Gream starts at 30:05
Simon retrieves the Obi post-it note and awards this week's Obi to Rex, Clancy and Sam for their capital H formed with the parkrun selfie frame and their raised outer arms at Horseshoe Bay Reserve parkrun. Sarah calls it one of her favourites; Simon also praises the M from Marriott Waters.
Club Corner starts at 30:53
Delivered by Reginald Yardley Pomphrey III from Arrernte Country. He invites listener feedback, disclaims being the final authority, and continues his series on what happens before the 3-2-1-go: Sign Language Support, First Timers Welcome (now a compulsory role, and the briefing is a good place to introduce the parkwalker and Tail Walker), and photographer (make a record of the week, don't be intimidated, just point and shoot; cross your arms if you don't want your photo taken). Closes with his standing line that all non-milestone clubs are unofficial and unsupported by parkrun. The hosts then ask listeners to write in with what they think of Reginald.

Macquarie University parkrun, Macquarie Park, Sydney, one lap of campus walkways, 100% sealed and predominantly flat, 373 finishers with 25 first-ever parkrunners and 27 volunteers; the third new Sydney event of the year. Earlier in the show Simon also marks Fodder Forest parkrun's third birthday, with 132 others present.
Sign-off starts at 40:34
Simon rolled last week's listener challenge over and asked where they would be: Sarah driving south to Esperance Foreshore parkrun to complete her Western Australian statesman again, in a group including Chris and Karen Gore, Abdul, Matthew Stevens and Andrew Yeatman; Simon skipping parkrun to run leg two of the Bondi to Manly Ultra (Rose Bay to North Sydney), noting he is three short of regaining his Rayfarers and still needs Macquarie University, Parramatta and Australian Botanical Gardens Mount Annan. Sarah announced there would be no pod the following week, that Dazza would still be posting, and gave the Facebook and email contacts before signing off.
