Three reports follow: Scott Watkins from Weipa parkrun (Far North Queensland), then Melissa Ellis and Tony O'Connell both from the Wimmera River parkrun launch in Horsham, Victoria.

  The slot is acknowledged but empty this week: [00:30:45] "We don't have any roving reports filed this week from any members of the Channel 5 news crew or otherwise." Mel fills it by describing photos sent from the UK by David Moss, "our foreign correspondent who's on the ground in the UK", whose attempts at recording audio failed — a shot of Dave with Paul and Joanne Sinton-Hewitt at the Isle of Man half marathon (run on Paul's birthday, a gift from Joanne), and one of a participant in a full replica rhinoceros costume.

  Em Nicholson's self-contained report from the Doomadgee parkrun launch in far north Queensland, with three interviews: PCYC Deadly Runners participants Will and Trenton, the visiting Morton family from Timboon (Victoria), and Doomadgee Primary School teachers Sarah and Shanley.

  Lyndell Murray files a self-contained report from the launch of Pallara parkrun in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. She checks in before the briefing, then post-run interviews first-ever finisher Ethan (New Farm local, ~294 parkruns, just turned 20), Calamvale regular Kerry "Keza" on the Calamvale community shirts, marshal Janice (wife of the ED, teaches at Pallara State School, plugs Pittsworth parkrun's fourth anniversary and its cattle-yard course), the "littlest volunteer" Maddie in a dressing gown, and ED Peter on how Stockland approached Calamvale runners about the site, the mixed concrete/grass/gravel course with its bridge, expected numbers around 100, and Pallara being an Aboriginal word meaning flat land. She signs off noting it appears to be the 20th parkrun in the Brisbane City Council area.

  Emma Nicholson files a self-contained roving report from a surf club, interviewing Sergeant Mel Gilbert (in charge of Doomadgee PCYC) about the Deadly Runners program — over 30 kids have earned a singlet by attending six weeks — and the appeal to the parkrun family for donated pre-loved shoes, because kids running barefoot were getting injured. Gilbert took the runners to her home parkrun for their first-ever 5k and says she is "in talks with parkrun Australia" about a future parkrun at Doomadgee.

  Greta travels interstate to Main Beach parkrun on the Gold Coast for its 7th anniversary — the birthplace of parkrun in Australia — and files a long on-location report. She interviews Nikki (a Comm Games visitor from Wollongong), Rhonda (volunteer), the Carl/Meredith/Ethan family who were one of the first families at Main Beach, Julie the Run Director, Tim Oberg (who announces the launch of Junior parkrun Australia), and Paul the Event Director.

  Melissa Ellis's Albert Melbourne report doubles as a roving crossover — she covers Brendan Peel's 250th parkrun milestone and the interstate visitors who came for it, and signs off wishing Main Beach and parkrun Australia a happy 7th anniversary.

  The bulk of the episode is roving reports back to back with no studio segments between them — Lyndell Murray from the Kelvin Grove parkrun launch in inner Brisbane, Melissa Ellis from an Easter-themed Pakenham parkrun in Victoria, and Dave Moss from St George in south-western Queensland. Scott sums it up afterwards at [00:36:57]: "A veritable treasure trove of roving reports this week, Mel. So much so that it's taken up the entire podcast. Episode 106 is all about roving reports."

• Episode 101

  Mark Connolly's self-contained roving report from the launch of Nightcliff parkrun in Darwin, NT - announced on air with the spoken ident "Tales from the Top End." He interviews Event Director Tina Sanderson twice, once before the run ("we're just waiting for people to arrive... people are sort of arriving in hordes") and once after ("it couldn't have gone any better"), covering the cool cloudy morning, the Nightcliff foreshore course over the Rapid Creek Bridge, how easy she found the parkrun start-up process via Darwin City Council funding and parkrun Australia's tools, and a Knight Rider / David Hasselhoff gag on the way out. Scott hands back at 00:44:58 with the attendance figure of 254.

• Episode 99 - Patrick Tiernan

  Melissa Ellis reports from the launch of Nhill parkrun in the Victorian Wimmera, halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide. She interviews Patsy from the Twin Towns Running and Walking Club (Tweed Heads), area ambassador Bruce, and 80-year-old Event Director Bev — 104 runners plus about 12 volunteers, with eggs and bacon laid on afterwards.

• Episode 98

  Scott hands over to three roving reports: Melissa Ellis's debut from the Lakes Entrance parkrun launch, TOC from the same launch for the Channel 5 News Crew, and debut reporter Gerard Corcoran ("GC"/"G-Train") from Whitby and Beach Strip parkruns in Canada. Scott jokes he will "let the listeners decide which one's better" between the two Lakes Entrance reports.

• Episode 97

  Roving report from the Bargara parkrun launch (Queensland, 27 January 2018), filed by Greg - Scott calls the reporters "the Murrells". Interviews with Fi Edmonds, Sasha from Bundy parkrun, an unsuccessful attempt to interview a child ("Kenzie"), and the co-Event Directors Phil and Maria, who report 318 participants against an expected 200, 169 registered on the day, and a launch turned around from late October.

• Episode 89

  TOC's self-contained roving package from the Koonwarra parkrun launch in South Gippsland, Victoria - 255 people in a town of 385. He interviews Inverloch parkrunners Greg and Shirley Dell, teenage RD Addy, and (on the Monday after, sitting on kindergarten chairs) Event Director Ebony Knox, who explains the Danish concept of hygge she built her launch speech around and describes the rail-trail course.

  Scott introduces three roving reports: Greta at the Kangaroo Island parkrun launch (SA), Lyndell Murray at Mudgeeraba parkrun's fourth anniversary (Gold Coast), and TOC at the Railton launch (Tasmania), Australia's 250th parkrun. Runs 00:23:45-00:59:45, then the hosts debrief. Introduced as "Continuing our long-standing tradition of having roving reports, we've got three more ready for you this week."

  Greta reports from Murray Bridge parkrun's third anniversary in South Australia, with her junior assistant Jess taking some of the interviews.   Grette Wilkinson reports from the launch of Carisbrook parkrun in the City of Salisbury, South Australia, on AFL grand final day. She interviews Sean (Mawson Lakes and Torrens regular, organises a Saturday running group), a pair of women having post-run banana bread who both completed their first 56 km Yurrebilla ultra the previous weekend, Hope (running with a decorated pram in Adelaide Crows colours, upcoming run director), and Jess, an 11-year-old from Mount Barker with 100 parkruns who loves the playground and speaking on the microphone as run director.

• Episode 83 - Kelly Hodges

  Lyndell Murray reports from Toowoomba parkrun's fourth birthday, coinciding with Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers, running through Queen's Park. She interviews event director Margaret about how she and Tressa Lindenberg brought parkrun to Toowoomba, then two anniversary award winners — Paula (most parkruns at Toowoomba for the year) and junior Jess (awarded "for being awesome", four years of helping her dad set up the truck and chalk). Handed back by Mel: "Roving Report from Toowoomba, love your work."

  A double roving block from the Aldinga Beach parkrun launch in South Australia. Grette Wilkinson (her debut for the show) interviews Minchi on her 200th parkrun, a first-timer, two half-marathon-training walkers, Frank Finn on getting the event up with the City of Onkaparinga, and Event Director Denise on processing the first results (122 finishers). David Moss then interviews Miriam, Christies Beach ED, on why Aldinga was needed and the Reynella East event planned for December. The hosts wrap up afterwards, noting the run of consecutive weeks of roving reports and workshopping a new nickname for Dave Moss since 'Mossy' is already taken.

Craig (Territory Director) interviews Yeppoon Event Director Natalie about getting the event off the ground; then interviews with Adrian Royce, parkrun tourist Tony Jennings (his 78th different Australian event), and Dylan's interview with parkrun Australia CEO Tim Oberg, who previews the imminent launch of Junior parkrun.

Having run Bushy parkrun on the Saturday, he reports instead from Moormead junior parkrun on the Sunday, interviewing Helen Hood (parkrun UK head of event delivery), junior parkrunners William and Gabriel, volunteer Jo, and Claire, parkrun UK's safeguarding lead.

  Scott Watkins - parkrun Australia Board President, explicitly distinguished from host Scott Trickett ("this is President Scott, not Scotty") - files the show's first ever roving report from the United States, from Roosevelt Island parkrun in Washington DC. He describes the out-and-back boardwalk course on the island between Virginia and DC, notes roughly half the field were tourists, and interviews local parkrunner Joyce, UK military parkrunner Paul, and Darrell Stanaford, parkrun's US country manager (nine US events with three more opening within five weeks; permits the main obstacle). Watkins also mentions having run the Pyongyang marathon in North Korea five weeks earlier.

  Oyiela Litaba reports from Newborough parkrun (Gippsland, Victoria), where three generations of one family — Jenny Erickson, her daughter Amber Erickson and grandson Corey Simmons — all completed their 250th parkrun on the same morning. Recorded across the Friday-night celebration dinner and the Saturday event, with interviews with all three plus a closing chat with Tony O'Connell about the ten parkruns now running across Gippsland.

  Gary Murphy of Highlands parkrun reports from Lalor parkrun's first anniversary in Melbourne's northern suburbs, ticking off his NENDY. Interviews founding Event Director Melissa Flentjar, guest run director Kaz Derby (Mullum Mullum), first-time run director Chris Bullock, Karkarook ED Anita Nichols, a house-sitting touring couple, tourists Pat and Holly from Highlands, and timekeeper Karen. Includes a fluoro-themed course, a cake with a replica of High Five Bridge, and an Avenue of Honour at the finish. Gary admits he failed to hit record for several of the best interviews.

  Mel crosses to roving reporter Dave Moss at Sandgate parkrun, where Phil Rourke ("the Eggman") attempted a two-egg 5km Guinness egg-and-spoon world record, dropped one egg at 2km and instead set a single-egg 5km record of 24:30, raising awareness for Autism Queensland. The hosts then discuss whether Guinness will ratify an unintended record.

  Lyndell Murray's self-contained roving report from New Plymouth, New Zealand, standing under the Wind Wand. She attempts a pop-up parkrun on the coastal walkway, nobody joins her, and she interviews passers-by — Peter (a local walker who has never heard of parkrun), an unnamed visiting parkrunner from Whangarei, Tom from Christchurch (who suggests she "go up to Pukekura Park and run around there"), and Dawn, a local walker — failing to solve "the mystery of why New Plymouth doesn't have a parkrun."

  Tony O'Connell reports from Bairnsdale parkrun's first anniversary, interviewing founder Vee McShane beside the river in 16 degrees. She was inspired by her first parkrun at Strathclyde Park in Scotland and brought the idea home to Bairnsdale. Course records discussed: Charlotte McShane (her sister, pro triathlete, 3rd in the World Triathlon Series) 17:30, and Brendan Sexton (Charlotte's partner, Olympian) 16:08.

  Lyndell Murray reports from Nambour parkrun on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, testing whether it has taken her home event Bunyaville's mantle as the toughest parkrun going. She interviews parkrunner Ralph (who says the consensus is Nambour is harder, because it's a loop rather than an out-and-back) and Nambour Event Director Mel ("Bunyaville on steroids"). Her verdict: about the same, roughly 100m elevation difference, but Nambour's hills are bigger — and it's her favourite non-home parkrun. Host hand-back notes "our roving reports are back".

  Crossover to a block of roving reports from the launch of Bundaberg ("good old Bundy") parkrun in Queensland, introduced by Mel at [00:48:02]: "we've got a whole bunch of roving reports from Tara, Mitchell and Riley who got a wrap-up from a lot of the participants on the day." Trainee roving reporters Tara Carpenter and Riley Murrell (both from Tannum Sands parkrun), plus a third reporter, do vox-pop interviews with Abby, Chris Whiting, Dana Perrin-Smith, Neil Schultz, Dwayne, Debbie Phillips and Michael Schultz. Scott closes at [00:51:11]: "Our first roving reports for this year, for 2017, and they got a lot. Thanks, guys."

  The roving-reporter slot, empty this week: "We don't have any roving adventurers... No submissions this week. I think maybe they heard Gary last week and thought, no, the bar has been set too high." Mel reassures listeners: "Not everybody sounds like Gary Clark... We have no standards here. Just talk to someone, send it to us, we'll probably use it."

Introduced as "This week, though, we had our rovering adventurers where the party's at" and closed with "Wonderful hearing from Silpa, who was our roving adventurer at St. Peter's parkrun this week."
